Hey there! Here is the SoNaFe-Special

Hey everyone!
Nice to have heard from you. Daria, Island is beautiful!! Lena, Lara & Vani, lovely pictures. We hope you are well.
We have a SoNaFe-Special for you so you don't miss anything!
Here we started building our stand.

We had a problem with the grafiti because everyone who touched it was pink :D

This was our VIP-Lounge... You don't want to know what happened in there... XD

In the end we managed to finish our stand without getting all pink. We took away some of the tape because they weren't very inviting. On Friday 7 pm we finally finished it all and got our first customer:)
She loved the brownie!
So now a few pictures :D

This was our Special Energy-Drink. (Tank Some Energy, Put on your winkgs & off to space)

Hanging out with crazy friends :P

Testing the other stands. They are awsome!! Moustache like *-*

Do you recognize this jedi? :D

Awwww!! I want to keep them :)The new security ;)

You to learn have much... XD

Some classmates having fun... :D
The SoNaFe this year was a lot of fun and we gained some money with our brownies and our customers were very lovely. Some of them were very drunk but it was entertaining to watch them :P

We hope to hear from you soon! :D
Enjoy the weekend

Last Day in London

Hi there once again
Today we went to London again. Fortunatly the London Eye was opened today but first we visited the Tower of London and the Towerbridge.

The London Eye was very impressive and it was nice to see London from above.
As we were waiting we saw something known... Do you remember too? :)

Tomorrow our ways will devide and we'll join our own hostfamilies.
We hope you're having a nice Sonafe ;)
Bye

Lara, Lena & Vanessa in London

Hi there :)
How are you?
We arrived in London yesterday and the weather is lovely. No rain, almost no clouds. And our flight was quite comfortable.
We are very fine and we allready met a lot of nice people.
Today we had a sightseeing-tour in London with one of these (cool) red buses.
One of our stations, the London Eye, was sadly closed, but maybe we can go to it tomorrow again. We had actually a lot of free time for shopping, but it wasn't enough for the Primark in the Oxford Street and us...
But while the tour we saw many important things like the Buckingham Palace (Do you know, when the British Flag is drawn up and when not?), the Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral and some war monuments.

Our resident is good except the food... Whenever you go to England take salt with you (but not for the butter...)...

Greetings from London Vanessa, Lara & Lena

p.s. We'll post another picture of us three soon :)

Our breakfast right before summer break - hope you're well, wherever you are. Keep us posted and look for a special post about our legendary SONAFE this Friday.

I thought I'd also include a few pictures of you all analysing a poem in the park - not that one gets the impression that you didn't work hard in your first year at KSWE, but especially because it was such a gorgeous day when you had to analyse Wilfred Owen's Anthem for Doomed Youth, and those of you on a study abroad / exchange get a glimpse of the monastery. Hope we're appropriately missed!

As the Anthem is a bit too morbid, I thought I'd rather remind you of William Blake's The Sick Rose ;-)

O Rose, thou art sick.
The invisible worm
That flies in the night
In the howling storm
Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy,
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.

Hæ! (that means Hi! in Icelandic but it is pronounced the same as in English)
I spend my first day here in Iceland and it's wonderful. My sisters showed me a few tourist attractions like the geysir or a waterfall.
Gullfoss
Geysir
The landscape of Iceland is beautiful and vary. The people here (my hostfamily) are also really nice and they speak English very well. Until now I mostly spoke English, because everyone speaks English and I don't know enough Icelandic to speak (or maybe I'm just to shy to try..) My hostfamily told me about their last exchange student they had. In the end of her year, she could speak fluently English but not even count till ten in Icelandic. So if I would like to, I could also learn English here, but I'm here to learn Icelandic! (:

Tomorrow I have to go to school, choose my classes and then I'll get my schedule. I hope that I'll understand something at school, but someone told me, that the teachers are taking care of the exchange students and look, that we'll understand it.

Have fun at school and let me hear from you soon!

bless, daria
